Inspiration

Little League baseball games are the BEST!
My favorite are the farm division players. Guessing at their ages, I would say 5-7 years old.
Here's what I observe:

• The MOST incredible toothless smiles
• Great big batting helmets that they hold onto when running
• Black eye from missed pop-up
• Outfield conversations with themselves about their latest All Star play
• Enthusiastic waving to their family, friends, cheering section and other assorted admirers
• Getting a hit, running to first- arriving safely, and then looking down at shoes to see if there are smoke or flames coming out, because they run as fast as superman
• Four players running after the ball on the opposite side of the field
• Big League Chew!
• The pee pee dance in the outfield
• Swinging hard like dad or big brother
• Left fielder counting ants on the grass
• Getting a base hit, scoring a run, and getting the game ball (no big deal)

There's just nothing sweeter.
